Founded in 1992 G.C. as a boutique business with an initial capital of ETB 15,000, Jemal Seid Adem has grown into one of Ethiopia’s leading multi-sector enterprises.
The company entered the export market in 2007 G.C., focusing on pulses, oilseeds, and spices, and soon after expanded into import operations. In 2014, the company established JENEF General Trading & Industries PLC as a sister company, with ownership shared between Jemal Seid Adem (85%) and Fetiha Ebrahim Seid (15%). Today, operating across manufacturing, agriculture, trade, real estate, and transportation, exporting to over 16 countries with an annual turnover exceeding ETB 667 million (2024/25 G.C.).
